Longboards or malibu surfboards are perfect for beginners learning to surf or advanced surfers who just want to go surfing on a longer board.

ADVANTAGES

Longboard surboards make waves easy to catch, easy to stand on and perform tricks and manoeuvres on the board like nose riding and cross stepping and hanging ten. Good in small waves and at large wave point breaks. Malibu surfboards allow the surfer to stand up early on the wave and provide better stability.

DISADVANTAGES

Longboard surfboards can be hard to paddle through waves in the impact zone and white wash when waves are bigger. A mini-mal surfboard or fish surfboard can be better for learners because of this.
